A fundamental dimension of making a living economy is the remaking on the heart-mind, so that humans can stand in truly altered, generous, well founded relationships with humans and with the more-than-human, in deep time. We speak of this as 'care work'. Zone: ¿1care Landscape: §1material Family: Impulse

Work in emotional commons - aka care work - embraces the following.
THE MATERIAL LANDSCAPE in care work
Living gracefully within the doughnut - Capabilities in the collective, to live in more-than-human relationships, in deep time, in sufficiency, in equanimity. 'The doughnut' is Kate Raworth's way of linking the ecological ceiling (which mustn't be violated) with the social foundation of support (which mustn't be compromised).
The balance of skill & impulse - Cultivating and mobilising embodied skills of pausing, befriending, enjoying, caring, letting be. Taking care with mental proliferation, views, mental formations, persistent underlying tendencies. Avoiding being triggered into ill-considered action and attitude.
THE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE in care work
Curating & enjoying commons - The dance of constitutive moments and relationships in commoning means of subsistence and wellbeing.
Contribution & livelihood - Active value(ing) in an economy of contributions; paying attention to the neccesity for wage labour.
THE AESTHETIC LANDSCAPE in care work
Reparation & reconciliation - Enacting social justice (the seven Rs of mutual-sector activist commitment): listening and speaking with truth
Equanimity, grace & poise in the struggle - Taking care with affiliating and Othering
Suchness - Cultivating resonant joy in the recognition of everything, being exactly itself.
Peace, violence, beauty - Enacting non-violence, becoming capable with force that is not violence.
